HELP :help:

My husband had his K3 interview today and the woman told him congratulations, you have your VISA, then he asked her a question about work authorization and she looked at him funny and came back and told him he had to come back tomorrow.

What is happening!!!!???

We are both so nervous. I've been trying to keep my wits about me today and been praying ALL day!

Has anyone ever been through this before?

My lawyer said they probably wanted to double check him and since the time is 2 hours behind in Mexico, they wanted to wait until tomorrow so they had the results.

Most people get the VISA on the same day, why is this happening?

I need encouragement.

My lawyer told me to be stong and not worry, he's optimistic.

He then said PLAN B would be hardship waivers and that could take 6 to 12 months.

I don't want to even go there... I want to think this is going to work out.

I need you guys!!! Please PRAY. PRAY that Albino will come home!!! Pray that they will grant him the VISA.

16 months has been so long... I don't want to think about another 12 more.

Linda

Did he ask why he had to go back tomorrow?

I think a lot of people get so intimidated at the visa interviews that they are afraid to ask questions. I would have wanted to know the reason.... was it just because they don't put the visa's in passports the same day, or is there a problem that may cause the visa not to be issued.

I guess you'll find out tomorrow. Good luck and try to keep strong. Maybe you're worrying for nothing.

I have an interview with the Montreal Consulate in Canada and the letter they sent states that the visa is not available until after 3 pm the following day for security reasons. Maybe your situation is the same - the visa has been approved and you guys just have to go back to pick it up tomorrow. Hope this helps and good luck!

Maybe the computer system went down, etc etc, think positive!! Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

For my husband's K3 visa, we had to go back the next day supposedly because by the time they "approved" us (around 5:30pm or so), everyone had gone home who makes the visas. Other people have this happen if their fingerprints have been taken and the resuls aren't back yet. Try not to worry too much and hopefully you'll find something out soon! Make sure he asks as many questions as possible about what happens next and the whys to ensure he knows what's coming next. The consuls at Juarez don't seem to mind questions, I figure at least they know you're interested in what happens.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart"
