congrats. chintan.. n thank you for all the help, i wanted to ask you how did your wife provide call details (how u guys stay in touch)...did u save the phone cards or requested call details from reliance/airtel call home service? (if u use those services)

When you log in to your acct at reliance/airtel call home service there is section for call history, just print this and you will be fine, I mainly use trueroots.us as they have a niece feature which lets me export the call history into excel format and what I did was maintain the entire call history in excel document with the logo for reliance/airtel call home service. Hope this helps

Interview began at 7:30AM and ended at 10Am local Indian time

1. 7:00AM Arrival at VFS office in Mumbai

2. Security check @ Embassy

3. Fingerprints

4. First Interview : Basic question about my wifes family ( What the name of Mother/Father, Sister, Brother, are they married, occupation and what does she do now)

Also returned the original documents

5. Second Interview : Asked about 10 Questions

How did you meet

How many people attended the marriage from bride and grooms side

When Did your husband leave for US

Where did you for your honeymoon ( asked for the photographs )

What did do on your B-Day, anything special ( as the BDAY for my wife and mine, happens to be on the same date Sept 6)

Did your husband visit you after marriage

How did you stay in contact with him ( asked for phone records)

Asked how did you want to collect the visa by courier or at VFS the same day

Got the visa and passport at 5PM from VFS

FYI : First interview was not in English it was in Gujurati and second interview they provided the Translator. Over all they asked a lot of question..

And accoring to VFS on this day there was only approval of visa( which was my wife ) from 30 interviews.. ( Amazing)

CONGRTULATIONS on getting the visa.....

Couple of questions

1. How far is the VFS office from Mumbai consulate?

2. When your wife picked up her passport at VFS office in evening with the Visa stamp, did she also pick up sealed brown envelope that she is supposed give to officer at Point of Entry in US/????

Hi Chintan,

Thanks for your earlier reply.

1) When did you submit ongoing relationship docs like phone records, emails, etc? You said you didn't submit it to VFS also.

2) Your interview letter just stated to submit medical and passport photos. Is that correct?

3) Did you file for K-3 also? If so, how did you contact consulate to switch your interview to CR1?

Thanks
