Well, as usual, the biometrics appointment was very quick. We arrived early - and the total time from when we got out of the car to when we got back to the car was MAYBE 10 minutes. We were driving away before our scheduled appointment time (:

So, this is the 4th time for fingerprints. Hopefully, they will find that they have not changed and give us a speedy interview (:

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

No. I created a September 2008 filers thread long before this one and started a list - but it was ignored. So, no more adding myself to lists (:

In related news - reviewing documents, I see it was 5 months between biometrics and approval for removal of conditions. I don't remember it being so long - but oh well. I guess the rest of this wait will be a little longer than I was hoping. On an upside, the NOA says to expect an interview notice within 120 days, so that's something I guess.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

I finally got my NOA1 today (October 2). I sent N-400 to VSC on September 15th, USCIS received it on September 17th, Notice Date was on September 27th. Please help me update the list, I really do not want to mess up the neat format.

Also, I have a question for the group. My notice said they transferred my case to the National Benefits Center to assist with the processing, and it is an administrative function only and will not interfere with the processing of my application. Is this a good or bad thing, all really has nothing to do with the processing time as they claimed?

It also said I should expect to be notified within 365 days of this notice. That is quite long, isn't it? I am hoping I will get the interview notice much sooner than that, as some of you have experienced.

They did not claim it had nothing to do with the processing time, they claimed it would not interfere with the processing of your case. At any rate - not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but that's just how they process these.

I'm re-adding my NOA1 date from the list since it disappeared and updated mscssuffolk. I haven't received the BIO notice yet and I checked online and nothing has happened it still says they sent the application to the NBC. Is the NBC sending the notice or the CSC? or the field office?
