Read the AOS guides for starters... Read the instructions to the I-485 as well

For a K-1, you can apply for a SSN from day 1 to day 76 of entry.... If you are within that window then get yourself down to the nearest SSA office

YMMV

I didn't know that, what if you are past 76 days, what do you do? And I want to open a joint bank account with my wife as soon as we're married but to do that she needs a florida ID, to get a Florida ID she needs atleast the I-551 stamp on her passport or on her I-94, but what I don't understand is how can I take proof a joint bank account to the interview if we can't get one because she can't get an ID because she can only get what is required DURING THE INTERVIEW, this is all so confusing.

If you are past 76 days you are SOL for SSN until EAD...

If you are talking about AOS interview, then you can do all what you are talking about after you she gets EAD (I-765), which is an interim benefit.

FWIW. You probably have a 50/50 chance of not even having an AOS interview...

YMMV

If its past 76 days then there's big possibility that she wont have SSN (like myself). Well it would be best then to start reading the instructions for AOS processing so you guys can send it soon. With regards to interview, you still don't know if you and your wife will be interviewed. Most k1, if shes based from k1, don't have interviews while few others have. THere's still other ways to proove a bonafide marriage, like photos, put her on utility bills, lease agreements. Goodluck

Calm down or you're just going to make yourself more confused. I'm not sure what state you're in, but where I live all I needed was my husband's passport to get him on my bank accounts. The other things that I've added him to all I needed to do was make a phone call. Why would you go past the 76 days. Just get the forms for the SSN number and fill it out. Why wait? For his state ID all I needed was his passport and our marriage certificate, but I know it's depends on where you live.

Read the guidelines then come back with your quesitons. Stop stressing. It's not that bad.

To get a SS number, you have to apply no less than 2 weeks before the expiration of the I-94. (90-14=76) If your timeline is correct, your I-94 will expire in about a week. You already passed 76 days, so you will not be able to apply for a SSN number until you receive your EAD (employment authorization document) or GC (green card). Along with AOS (I-485), you should apply for EAD (I-765), it's included in the $1,010 fee for AOS. If you want to travel outside of the US while your GC is being processed, you can apply for AP (Advanced Parole, form I-131). That's also included in the fee.
