Question about Taxes for the AOS interview

For the AOS interview, do people just take a copy of the 1040 and other forms the tax preparer gave you or do you have to get the transcripts from the IRS. My husband is a self employed barber so he doesn't have w2, just a schedule C. I'm also self employed and wont have W2. Will we be ok with just the copies of the tax returns?

You will need the IRS transcripts.

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

I disagree. I don't think you need the IRS transcripts - I am taking my tax return copies (unsigend because I filed electronically.) I don't have a W2 but do have one 1099 so its a little different; but I didn't provide IRS transcripts with the I134 and am not providing them now. Do what makes you feel comfortable - Good Luck

As motu says, do what you think is comfortable.

Having "official IRS transcripts" may lessen any potential question and (possible) delay; however ... you just never know with the USCIS folks!
