I GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked my email first thing, nothing, then went to CIS website, checked my status and saw there was a touch 9/4/08, so I clicked my case # and OMGOMGOMG it said 'Approval notice sent'.......!!!!!!!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOO relieved because I was halfway expecting an RFE because of a couple of issues(Govi's PP photo and my name change) but no I think it's for real....

I am in shock right now......

What a wonderful surpise to wake up to. Congrats! :)

Many many congratulations to you. I am sure you are prepared for NVC and you will fly through the NVC process in no time. Lets hope that you will see "case complete" and "interview date" pretty soon.

Thank you guys so much for your congratulations and good wishes - honestly I don't know what I would have done if it were not for VJ - I am sure everyone who has had to wait so long feels the same. I am so happy now but nervous - there is so much to do now but it is wonderful to finally be out of USCIS. I am praying everybody else who has been waiting such a long time is approved in the next week or 2.

ETA: Nepaliguy, I hope you take lots of notes at the embassy because I will be picking your brains LOL... I will be saying lots of prayers for you before your interview 9/22.

Thanks!!! I think this will be a very happy Dashain for you and your family. :) I feel sad for Govi thinking that this may be the last Dashain/Tihar he will be spending with his family for a long time and because of the Kosi floods and increased bus fares he cannot go see his 86-year old grandfather. I hope we can both go see him and the rest of his extended family next spring but it's not the same as the holidays...
