hi everyone,

thank you so much for all your support I RECEIVED MY WELCOME TO THE US LETTER yesterday! and it says that GC will be in the mail within 3weeks.YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

My wife received her GC last Friday without an interview which is great..... WOOHOO!!!!!!

On the other hand, my stepchildren have a RFE on both of them. The I-797E stated that

"Tuberculin (TB) Skin Test: Current regulations now require that the tuberculin skin test and/or chest X-Ray be completed by all applicants 2 years of age and older. Your Form I-693 reflects that you have not had a tuberculin skin test or chest X-ray performed. A chest X-ray is required only when the reaction to the skin test is 5 millimeters or more. Or you may provide other evidence to establish that you have had follow-up treatment for tuberculosis and that the condition no longer exists."

The closest Civil Surgeon is over 2 hours away. When we did the K-1 Visa, the two kids which are 11 and 14 weren't required to have a TB test completed. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or have experienced this? Please let me know. Thanks so much!

Glyn's AOS has not been touched since 1/12. Glyn also applied to change her SS card to her married name in mid-December. However, the SS office says that the verification is still pending with DHS.

She has already received her AP and EAD.

I am worried that the delay is going to hold her up from starting a job. (It has already caused problems when I submitted my income taxes.)

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

We had similar issues with Alf's SS card. It was his application for the first card rather than a name change, but every time he would call, they would say they were still waiting for verification. We finally called USCIS and asked, and he was told the Social Security office can phone them 3 days after verification is requested if nothing is sent to them. He called the SS office back and the woman had no idea she could call USCIS about it. 3 hours later, they had verification and we received his card about a week later.
