September AOS filers

She said our EAD is beyond processing times and gave me some number thing. Of course, she said if we haven't heard anything within 45 days that we have to call back

a friend IMed me just now she said she called USCIS..

and this is what they told her.. same thing!!!!!!

What the number is for?

she said it's a reference number thingy..

--- its the service request number for their report. i called uscis and she gave me 2 SR# for my i-765 and i-485, i asked her if i will use those numbers when i call back again and she said no its for their report.

ok!

So why do they give us the bloody reference number thing anyway??? I was scared I copied it down wrong 'cause my phone kept cutting out, and that I might have to read it off later...

Useless. Completely useless. Hubby should've jsut camped out here for 5 years and got citizenship by default. Would've been a lot easier than dealing with these idiots...

More bad news...my mom slipped on teh ice and has a bad fracture in her wrist that will require surgery on Monday. And that's the day we're leaving here to return home

Ap came in mail today dated dec 5th.

was approved 3rd and notice sent, but recieved today, we didnt check post office since wednesday

The AP papers finally showed up today Dec 12. They were approved Dec 4. But the postmark was on Dec 9 and a touch occurred on the AP on Dec 9. I suspect the papers weren't generated until 5 days after they were approved.

It's so true, I think this every time I call! I was so surprised she gave me some hope...maybe that's their new strategy, tell the people what they want to hear to stop them calling!!

Have you tried calling? Any more news? I really hope we can all be done with this soon, then we can join that elusive 'interviews' club...

Well, since I did not hear anything from them this week, I will call them on Monday.

I heard that the weather has been really really bad in Northeast because of a snow storm.

I also got this silly long number as reference for my service request, so today I asked if they needed it to check up and they said no. Seems a bit silly to be given it then, but maybe it's in case they say 'we never got that request' or something (I could totally see that happening). Totally pathetic all round really. But let me also say that this time last week I had been told that I was going to have to wait another 2-3months to get anything, now a week later they tell me I should have everything by the end of this month...it makes no sense, so I say keep calling and try to find that one person who will give you something specific, something positive.

Sorry to hear about your mum Maeve (oops, should be mom here!), I know it's so hard worrying about family on top of everything else =(

I hope USCIS gets the Christmas spirit in them next week and are kind to us all!

yes kiwi, you're right..

i worked as a CSR before and that's like their SOP..

the reason why they give people the reference number for the service request is..

as a proof that u really did call for a service request..

and just so they can say something to the customer, at least..

but thing is the time frame that they're giving us is just an estimation of the general process..

unless they clearly stated that "it says in your case that" blah blah..

u see at the uscis website when u log in, there's an option "customer or representative"

so when u call uscis toll free, they also log in kinda the same way we do..

and when the representatives log in they see the same thing too..

the only difference is they can do account maintenance, see "some" of our case info and submit service requests..

but they CANT really tell specific time or date..

Hey Guys!

I already got my EAD card today!! I'm not sure when it was placed on our mailbox, but we just took our mails today and there it is!! I'm so excited to look for a job here and see what its like!!

I'm sure for those who got the notice early this month will get their EAD card very very soon!!!!

So cheer-up and enjoy the Holiday Season!!!
