Hi all

My dad only has short time left and I need to go to Denmark as soon as I can.

On my passport there is still my maiden name.

I realize that I can't change it in time and need to know if I will have any problems travel with this.

Is there anyone who has experienced the same?

Isn't it ok if I am bringing all my documents around my greencard?

Any response is very much worth for me.

I am so sorry to hear about your father...(F)

As for your travel plans...make sure your plane ticket is in the same name as the one on your passport. Take with you proof of your married name (i.e. marriage certificate) since your green card is in your married name (I am assuming it is). This way, if they ask about the difference in names, you can present the marriage certificate to explain the name change.

Good luck dear (F)

Yes my greencard is in my married name.

Thank you very much, this is a big help.

I am sorry about your father as well. Your marriage certificate counts as a legal document to show your name change so you shouldn't have a problem. Be sure to book your ticket in your passport name. Take care.

Thank you very much

My dad has very aggressiv bladder cancer and it came so suddenly.

It's a kind of chok for me

For only 2 month ago they said that with a surgery they could remove it.

But they couldn't take it all and the reason it is spreading so fast.

I am so sorry to hear that, Mrs Bird. My uncle has just been diagnosed with the same thing.... he had surgery last week to remove the tumour. Unfortunately, he is in Stage 4 where the cancer has spread to his vital organs, so I will be going home to see him this week.

God bless. You are in my thoughts and prayers. (F)
