Hello VJers,

The wife of a very good friend of mine had her IR-1/CR-1 interview in Lagos in July and was given a form stating that their case is in ADministrative Processing. Now he wants to write to the embassy and USCIS concerning the case, but do not know exactly how to go about it.

I don't know if anybody has an idea of any thread or anything that could help him.

Question. Did they state the reason for AP? Like name background check, reviewing documents..... If she was aware of the concerns they have regarding the interview she then could know what avenue of approach to take. What were some of the questions asked at the interview that she may think they were had concerns with???

2008-09-28 NVC I-864 Process Completed

2008-11-04 NVC Received DS-230 Package

2008-11-12 NVC Live Operator Confirmed Our Case is Completed :) Pending Interview Date :)

(Our submission was delayed because my husband applied for the New Nigerian Passport so we needed to wait for his new passport. All is well now ;)

2008-12-05 Received Interview Package

2008-12-24 Husband received Interview Package in Nigeria from NVC :)

2009-01-16 Medical Completed

2009-01-20 Interview Appointment - Visa Approved:) President Obama Inauguration Day:)

2009-01-27 It's Official VISA IN HAND!!! :) My Husband is coming home! :)

2009-02-10 POE LAX :) No problems smooth process. We thank God ;)

The easist way would be for him to call DOS: 202-663-1225 ( press 1, 0, 4, 3, 0 ) to find out what is going on.
