When you are filing out the papers to apply for US citizenship you are asked to fill out childern including stepchildern. My ex and I were married from 85-95 ( divorce actually signed in 2007 and backdated ) He married wife 2 in 1995 and has childern with her. We had one together and I have 2 older ones. Wife 2 has an older one

He has to include the all the childern he fathered ( 3 ) and the step from the current wife . Are my older childern to be included on the form also ? Or as they ex-steps because I am an ex ?

Thanks

They want to know how many children you & husband are RESPONCIBLE for. It doesnt matter who has them now.

I hope your answers are more clear than your questions. Make sure they are or suffer RFE s or denial.

He has to include the all the childern he fathered ( 3 ) and the step from the current wife .

You would take the above sentence and change accordingly the following words where appropriate:

he/she

fathered/mothered

wife/husband..

YMMV
