This is a kind request to all those who have been transfered to CSC from VSC. Please dont change ur service center on VJ. This changes the data for both the centers and doesnt give people who are waiting a clear idea of the timelines. I hope you all understand.

unfortunately it does not coz people who are transfered to CSC are technically VSC filers.

Agree with you.

It does not matter where you bought the ticket

What matters is the place of boarding, transit and destination.

Did I forget the airline...

Those of us who are being transfered have very old cases -- up to 10 months or more in age.

If VJ uses average time to adjudicate in its calculation of the range to figure out when someone is likely to be adjudicated, taking really old cases that have been at Vermont and moving them to California will significantly increase the estimated time erroneously. Since they are adjudicating our cases in under 3 weeks, at most moving our cases to California should only change the estimates by 3 weeks or so. Instead, when our cases are included in California's calculation, it is changing the estimates by 3-6 months! And that's just not the reality.

Therefore, those of us who had changed our processing from Vermont to California in our timelines and recognized how it was messing up the estimates for California filers (regular Cali filers, not transfers) changed our timelines back to Vermont.

We think it is better to have the estimates 3 weeks off than 3 or 6 months off.

i agree. changing timelines to california makes the system change timelines and inturn changes the processing time. the processing time shows that VSC is currently working on feb 15 cases. this is not true as we have seen many getting transfered to CSC (as late as early march) and havent seen much activity from VSC. let alone VSC, we havent seen much activity in CSC as well apart from the transffered applications.

to make the story short, it is my understanding that something looks screwy in the statistical diagram and just the numbers.
