Hello to all VJ members and visitors,

I just a got a call from my husband now, our visa has been approved.  It was such a long wait for him in this process. Entered the consulate at 7:30 am. Once entered went to the security check and than went for the fingerprints. After that waited in the waiting area. My husband was in early in line so was called up early. Went to the indian guy, asked to review the documents. Suddenly, the indian guy said you are having low finanical support. My husband got little scared. He asked questions like, "how many people are in your household now? , Did you have a copy of your father-in-law's I-864A?" He gave the copy of I-864A and he started calculating the numbers.. Later told that you are just barely above the line of poverty.. My husband saw that they are having a little different chart than us.. don't know why ?? Asked to show just formal pictures.. (saw one of the pictures and started smiling and commented "nice picture"). Asked to wait again... Than was called again for the second interview... There a american guy first, asked to sign DS-230. Started asking questions, What are you doing now ?, what does your wife do ?, how did you guys meet ? Who else came to your wedding ?, did your wife visited you after the wedding ? While asking the questions he was typing something in the computer. Strange thing is that, american guy didn't even talk about having low fianancial support.. it was just indian guy who was repeatedly talking about that... Than the indian guy standing next to said, "your visa will be mailed to your home address" But my husband requested that VFS does not offer courier service in my home town that's why i haven given my aunt's address and that is also very far from my home town. So if it is possible for me to collect the passport today in the evening from the VFS office. They replied that you can try collecting it but cann't gaurentee for sure..

I will post later more into details about VFS visit in the morning.... But want to say a BIG THANK YOU TO ALL (F) (F) who have given their support and best wishes to me and to my husband during this whole process at NVC and later till the interview time.. A special Thank You to Loto, for his reference and fastest way guide that given me a hope that NVC process can be faster and easier ... (F) (F) (F) Thank you so much once again to all .....

One more thing, what time was the interview over.

One more question did you book or buy the air-tickets before the interview or not, right now I am looking for the tix, but thinking it is too risky to buy the tickets before the interview as anything can happen on sept 9. so I want to what did you do with the ticket.
