Seriously, alien? I don't post my specialty here because as I'm sure you know, there are some freaks out there. I work in a very specialised area of corporate finance research, so specialised that it would be very easy to figure out who I am in real life if I stated what it was. There aren't many institutes across America that house scholar/practitioners like me. I don't want someone coming calling. It's not like I'm working on anything that's secret, but I like the few vestiges of privacy I have left.

Again dude, chill. I'm not angry. Not at you or anyone else here. This is all a bit of good fun, but when people are out of line, I might just call them on it. Isn't that okay? Why have you singled me out anyway? I didn't say you couldn't post there, I just said *I* wouldn't have done what you did. Believe me, the USA-slagger-offers get on my tits too. I'm an American who chose to live in the UK for 12 years and was very grateful to move back home when I did.
