Multiple letters from NVC

Hello all,

I called the NVC on August 19 and they told me that my petition was sent on August 18 to the embassy in Kyiv. OK that was very good news but since then I have received four identical letters with different dates from the NVC telling me that the petition is being forwarded. Why would they send me four letters? Has anyone else received so many verifications?

don't worry about it, at least you know you are not stuck at NVC in some sort of protracted review and it has been cleared to be sent to the embassy

I can't tell you why. I received one letter from NVC. But wait 2 weeks from the time they said they would send it first and then send an email to the consulate at kyiviv@state.us and ask if they have your case. Refer to the "KEV" number that was in the letter (hopefully you got only ONE KEV number?) and when they say they have the case, call the call center and make your appointment. If they do not have it after two weeks, wait one more week and ask again, in email (it is free)DO NOT wait for Packet 3 to arrive at your fiancee, it may never happen. Download it from the embassy website and get everything ready (if you haven't already) and call them for an appointment as soon as they have the case.

I got 3 letters, but was just happy they had sent it off. Mine was at the consulate a week from when I got my first letter. Hopefully the 4 letters are just insurance your case is moving, like the others said.
