I'm looking for a link to the Dept of State website...it shows you by country, where to get the PCC.

Since it's called a "Police Clearance" I'd gues the police need to stamp the document from the court.

Nimche, I didn't get any mail...just a message on the AVR saying "The NVC has reviewed your forms and found information missing or incomplete...".

Just means they've reviewed the AOS and are waiting for the IV to complete the case.

They entered the IV into the system this morning...but as we know, the AVR is NOT reliable.

Available. Police certificates (Vertetim/Potvrda/Certificate) may be obtained from the local offices of the Kosovo Police Service (Sherbimi Policor i Kosoves) at the municipality where the person resides. The police certificate will usually document whether the person has a criminal background and if there are any records in the police database. This record check was previously available from the UNMIK Criminal Data Unit (CDU) however this function was shifted to the local police service following Kosovo independence.

The police certificates are issued with limited information and they cover only the period from 1999 to the date of the request. This certificate should not be confused with the certificates issued by the courts (Vertetimi nga Gjygji/Sudsko uverenje) that cover only the period of the past six months and indicate the absence of any investigation, charge or conviction in that period."

I just paid my IV Fee Bill but it shows up as not paid and it did not give me a receipt.

I know this has happened to others but please refresh my memory. Is this bad? Will I get a receipt?

We've seen it go from "not paid" to "processing" then back to "not paid" and then to "paid".

Check with your bank tomorrow. If it doesn't show up in a couple of days, then double check with NVC and pay it again.

Even if you lose 2 or 3 days, it's still weeks faster than waiting for the hardcopy and mailing in a check.
