Honestly ever since we've moved we've been up and about every weekend and I was looking forward to having a weekend at home but life has other plans for me and we're going to Ocean City after work to spend a night with the inlaws at their shore house.

Ahh maybe next weekend. Next weekend is my DO NOTHING weekend. The phone gets turned off, the doors get locked, no one bother me plz. :D

PS: The only reason I am going down to the shore is because I was promised boardwalk fries.

I totally can. In fact I promised to help clean their other shore house last summer on saturdays as long as I could have boardwalk fries afterwards.

Awwww, enjoy your week-end :)

My mom and step dad (from Montreal) just came back few weeks ago from New Jersey for their vacations. They go there every summer and my mom loves the beachm the boardwalk and the curly fries! They go to Wildwood :)

Of course the can drive there from Montreal but they cannot drive to Chicago, nothing to see here..right.....

My plans for the week-end: Get better. Wednesday they said they would get the lab results in 48 hours saturday....but 48 hours should be today right ? Hopefully they call me today and I can get started on some medication and be good to go back to work on Monday :( sigh

Yea the amount of Francophones down at the Jersey shore is incredible. You can always tell them apart because the men wear speedos.

Its only one night, I'll be fine...really. I'll just sit here and keep convincing myself. :D

I love when we have weekends to just hang out and relax (just the 2 of us) but they don't happen that often.

This weekend we have my stepson and my mother in law is here. Tonight will be fairly low key- one of Mel's friends is coming over for a haircut and I invited him to stay for dinner.

I think tomorrow we will head up to a local Gator farm- we went a few months ago and it was really cool. The eggs are hatching right now and we are hoping to see a baby gator being born.

Never...if you had told me that when I was younger that I would be camping upstate with my American husband I would have been like....yeah ok...lol

I love upstate, it's so refreshing and beautiful there.

I have no clue on ur route from New Jersey to Ocean City, but if its anywhere near baltimore watch out for the cops, lots out on I-95 just out of baltimore, they even have nice unmarked Ford mustangs!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

No Ocean City is about 45 minutes on the shores of NJ so I don't have to worry about Baltimore cops. Though I find theres just as much traveling the AC expressway. :(

I will be spending my weekend doing some wedding planning stuff and some housework.

Going to look at invitations and figure out prices and ordering times. just to get a basic idea of what to expect. Also shopping for wedding undergarments and possibly lingerie! LOL

trying to get a DJ and videographer booked as well. tough when I am up here in Ottawa and can't actually make appts to meet with any vendors, but I am doing the initial emails and then Rich is following up and actually meeting with people. Hopefully we will have those taken care of soon, and then finding an officiant and then everything ought to fall into place.

*sigh* I feel like my life is consumed with wedding stuff....

crazy!
