I know it's just a tropical storm, but in my area when a tropical storm directly hit it did cause power outages and downed trees all over the place. So how are those in Florida doing, especially those who still are getting rain/wind from Fay? We were fine yesterday since it wasn't close to us.

And I can't believe it's going to turn west now soon and cross the other way! It doesn't want to leave much of Florida untouched. Schools were closed here yesterday but it was a decent day since the storm went way southeast of us. Where I am is now near the bottom part of the track cone, and if the track stays near our county I wonder if they will have to close schools again!?

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I just read it may be something unprecedented this storm. Fay actually stregthened over land. Not maintained it's strength as others have done. But, got stronger. The blogger I read said he thinks because there is enough standing water and other sources in FL right now to do so. That is crazy.

i couldnt believe she actually strenghtened so far inland. this storm has my personality :) unpredictable :P

Meteorologists are stating its very rare for a tropical storm to strenghten over land, and to zig zag across one state lol

Warm, shallow water tends to strengthen storms like these.

I hope all of you Floridians out there take it easy.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
