Fair and balanced:

Taking a moral stand:

More FOX news brilliance, fair and balanced (you'll notice more stuff than just pundits, and I left a few certain people out purposely):

LOL...those are awesome! And defenders of Fox News refuse to admit the station's political agenda, even after several former people who worked for the station admitted that Roger Ailes directed them to a right wing POV.

LOL. FOX is the only right wing network we have. What? You want all networks to be left leaning? Geez.... throw us a bone. Forget about your plot.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

You could at least hold them to higher standards of journalism. Or is FUD the only type of journalism its audience understands?

I like to view many sources of news (tv, internet, radio, print) and come to my own conclusion. And I'm not walking around thinking CNN is right down the middle.

It's not my plot. Fact - Roger Ailes, president of Fox News is a former Republican strategist - not someone who had extensive experience in journalism, a political hack. Fact - several former employees of Fox News have said that they were directed to slant the news typically in favor of the Bush Administration and its policies. Fact - media watchdog groups have found huge amounts of inaccuracies in Fox News reporting.

That said, Rupert Murdoch is a businessman first and foremost - his allegiance is with his market share of the media.

And to be certain, I don't think CNN is a beacon of truth either - it also pays homage to ratings over integrity. Mainstream media has turned into a f###ing free-for-all circus since deregulation enabled these media conglomerates come into existence.

Yeah. The whole 'fair and balanced' message is tongue-in-cheek anyways. Meaning they balance out the liberal media.

Really. They want all media outlets singing their tune.... weak.

Not quite. Journalists, good ones at least, understand the nuances of the choice of words or phrases used when telling the news story. There are ways to keep the phrasing neutral - absent of making any judgement of the news story they are telling. Unfortunately, I think most viewers are so used to the blatant, non-neutral phrasing, that they are either clueless or numb to it. Probably, the most neutral TV news is the Jim Lehrer News Hour on PBS, but they aren't in it for the ratings, they go way more in depth with the coverage, and often lose the attention span of most TV watchers.
