Yes - I'd do it again in a heartbeat for my husband!

The worst part of all is just the enormous paperwork and the waiting time until you are approved - whatever you are filing for.

But it's definitely worth it. Patience is a tooth of iron which can even chew a rock!

If my fiance was from a country where I could pursue my career just as well as I can in the U.S, then hell no. I would move out of the U.S. to be with him rather than having to deal with the nightmare of U.S. immigration.

In answer to this poll's question: "Yes", I would go through the long distance relationship again, especially if it's for my husband, whom I love ...After all, "when it comes to love, there is no distance" and "distance does make the heart grow fonder"...

My husband and I did the "long distance live-in relationship" thing for a very long time before and it worked out well for us, as it sure gave us the opportunity to know each other better, indeed. I definately recommend other couples, if they can, to do something like this. Also, it is important for all couples, regardless, to communicate effectively with each other in all ways and before they spend the rest of their lives together.

What's ironic in our situation though, is that we were "so close yet so far away", as we were only

300miles/500km apart, in two separate countries and neighbouring countries with a border in between us. And yet, we have to go through this painstaking, expensive, time-consuming, etc. process called "US Immigration"!

Oh the lengths one has to go through to "Live and Love Happily Ever After"...

Its my first poll hope it works right.

No way ! It's much too stressful and painful.I cannot stand dealing with these idiots at the USCIS and the embassy.If I had to do it all over again,I would just move back to Panama like I wanted to do in the first place !

The problem with saying "for my husband, I would do it all over again" is that it wouldn't be for my husband. If I HAD to contemplate doing it again, it would be for someone else cause he and I split. There is no way in hell I would do it again for anyone else.

Looking back, would I still do it if I knew what I know now? For my husband, yes.
