Hey Omid...I am posting for you here because there is something going on with the email system...I can't open your emails at all and I did not want to risk sending any back...

My fiance's case went through processing in Pak after the check was done in Washington...at least thats what they told me when I kept calling them...have you called ISL?

You can add me also even though my husband is going through Abu Dhabi........Shon, I am in the same boat as u.......Barbara told me to kit with the consulate in abu dhabi b/c they are the ones who can give me a better time frame.....no idea what that means.........

Thanks Nizzy... I don't know know what the deal with my case is... I'm going to call the embassy tonight and see if I can find out something of substance insha'Allah... but given what Mary said I'm not holding my breath for much...

As of Friday when I called DOS, DOS said ISL hadn't requested any clearances from Washington and that it was at the embassy. I'm going to call ISL tonight - any advice?

I am wishing you luck but what your are saying is what I was told it was not at DOS but at Islamabad and then we had the field investigation. I think they withhold information to keep from tipping you if you have investigation in background to happen. We were also told not to call the embassy since they were not going to tell us anything until after our 45 business days pass. It will be Feb 15th for us. This was from the CO and the field investigator. If you get any information please post it here. I know I will make my weekly call to DOS and see if any updates this week too. Good luck.

yes.. Demand to speak with "AMERICAN " only. you have to get past rhastim and some PK lady.

keep demanding. say this " I need to speak to an american and I need help " its blunt

and it sounds urgent. keep demanding until you get to the CO. the best time to talk to CO is

I dont know how to reply the right way in this new way of VJ and still pretty new at it anyway, But I wanted to let you know Shon that the DOS is still saying its still pending. Whats that mean?

Pending means at DOS means they are waiting for other agencys to agree. example.

FBi , CIA, NVC, USICS, EMBASSY....

they all have to agree thumbs up.. if not dayum things sits in PENDING mode..

Ok thanks gurl. I get sick of waiting but thats ok. They will hear from me when I go to the embassy myself and ask about the case in person lol , They will have to tell me something that day.

if that is true. this week they have the Visa review meeting there.

once they all agree - then your case could make it to the DOS.
