actually my fiance and I are both Afghan, and he actually lives in Afghanistan ... but my sister's husband is Paki and he makes some goooood Paki food

do you really think they would send someone all the way to Jalalabad for a K-1???? I told my fiance to be prepared for a random visit from the embassy... basically another "interview"

yes they can send someone to field investigate your husband and YOU.

we got investigated by the embassy and the consulate. the USICS had me interview.

so it can happen . Dood wala brother got field investigaton too.

WOW Omid sounds like you got throught to Rhazz office 'internal matter" "cant give you information where the case is", Yada yada. cough bs, get senator on them , call the dos, You have FOIPA rights (freedom of information)

I dont deny that the lord jesus christ is my saviour and it is shown throughout history that god has created miracles<<< how ever you spell it, Even though the bible it shows that people have been healed from there sickness without god in the pressence.

did you read that artical? he had AIDS..

Which jesus and bible are you talking about...

here is a one contradiction in the bible that i am well aware of. i can give you 100 of contradictions that i found in the bible...here is one for now..... please answer it...

According to book of Matthew 1 verse 15: Jacob was the father of Joseph who suppose to be the father of jesus (christ)

link to it

http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/mt/1.html

now According to Book of Luke chapter 3, verse number 23:

that Heli was the father of Joseph who had a son called jesus...

now who was Joseph's father? Heli or Jacob????

here is a link to it....

http://www.cforc.com/kjv/Luke/

Please answer my question....

No sysy, you are completly wrong.....

Heli and jacob were brothers and heli died childless...Look into it....

ok yes i looked into it last night after the topic and I was right about some having the hebrew names in there but as I went back into the old testiment it shows the family lines, Im not right about everything and dont claim to know everything either.I am wrong from time to time. but to be honest im glad the issue was raised cause it made me read more . To be in the word is to live the word, THANK you for that I learned something new again

Alhamdulilah Shon --- Happy Anniversary (F) (is that even what one would say for such an occasion? lol)

I need some advice = hope you all don't mind that I'm asking about something not necessarily related to bringing over our SOs

I'm really hating my job lately (which doesn't help get my mind off of immigration and my SO or make the time go any faster) and thinking I want to go out on my own as a solo practitioner - and most likely incorporate immigration as part of my practice - do you all think that's crazy considering life is so emotionally draining right now? or just tawakal toal Allah and start?

Sounds like a good idea, what is a life career when your heart is not in it..and this immigration stuff, wow took a good chunk of all of our lives. Plus we need a compassionate dedicated sister out there to stand up for our rights

Shon - that's fantastic news  - alhamdulilah... so how long now until visa is in hand??

I understand you. I would say go solo. rather you have this USICS stuff or not you would be miserable. but, make sure you are mentally strong to do that - sounds like you are so whats holding you back? once you get your practice going then before you know it - fiancee will be home..]

your right... just need to let some confidence kick in... and get over the anxiety of not having a steady check until things get going...

[sounds like a good idea, what is a life career when your heart is not in it..and this immigration stuff, wow took a good chunk of all of our lives. Plus we need a compassionate dedicated sister out there to stand up for our rights

That's what I've been thinking about a lot lately - our community needs more of a legal voice and in the past three years I haven't done my part - I have a responsibility, I just pray for the strength to do it and do it right....

thanks ladies  - I think I know what I need to do insha'Allah, but sometimes you just need to hear it from others to confirm.

Good luck on your decision whatever it is Omid. I know that the stress of having a job that is unfulfilling is not easy and if your not happy then you cannot be happy in other areas of your life. The immigration stuff like Cindy says does take alot out of us and we need to be as happy and content in our lives as we can be.
