Hello,

My wife received an appointment letter for adjusting her status. It says we should bring the medical exam envelope. But we had already sent that envelope together with all four forms (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765). What does it mean? Do we need to bring another envelope, that means we should take another exam? I know they made some changes to vaccine requiremnts but all our documents were sent to Chicago office back in May 08.

Also we received an advanced parolle but....instead of her photo they put MY photo on her parole  So, how can we fix that error ASAP?

Thanks to all of you and good luck to all of us!

Most likely from the g-325A

You don't need another medical, just take the copy that the civil surgeon gave you for your own records or get one from him.

I beg to differ. This is an application submitted by the foreign alien.... No where in the instructions does it say to include a photo of the petitioner. Even so, if you did not submit a photo of the USC, it does not explain how yours go on the document.

OK here is the quote from I-130 instructions.

What Documents Do You Need to Prove Family Relationship?

C. A passport-style color photo of yourself and a passport-style color photo of your husband or wife, taken within 30 days of the date of this petition. The photos must have a white background and be glossy unretouched and not mounted. The dimensions of the full frontal facial image should be about 1 inch from the chin to top of the hair....

Correct me if I am wrong.

Only logical explanation... I agree you file concurrently, but you assemble each application/petition independantly so they stand alone are not comingled.

Yes, that is correct. As I ve mentioned we sent all four forms together. So we included one photo of mine for I-130 and other photos of my wife for all the other forms that require it. But for some reason they decided to put my photo on I-131. All the photos were signed as required. Yesterday my wife received work permit card. And, furtunatelly, her photo was on it. :star: So, I assume its only parolle that got errored so far.

tnx

I missed the part in the original post where you said you filed the I130 along with the other 3. Yes, you submit a passport photo of yourself for I130. Since you had no timeline or info in your profile, I was thinking you were adjusting with a previously approved I130 or from a K1. Just a mis-read on my part.

I beg to differ. This is an application submitted by the foreign alien.... No where in the instructions does it say to include a photo of the petitioner.

In rare cases, Advanced Parole can be obtained for someone outside of the US who was unable to obtain a visa. However, for most, it is filed after US entry and after submission of AOS application to permit necessary travel.

so you don't have to wait until after the K-1 has been approved to file for Advanced Parole?
