We got a yellow letter today from uscis today asking us to bring to the interview a certified copy of her birth certificate a state issued id card or drivers license and certified copies of the daughters birth certificates so i hope we will get a interview app. soon.

Did you send in a birth certificate with your application? The reason I ask is that it took a lot of work for my wife to get her birth certificate. USCIS already had one on file and we sent another one in with her N-400 application. I really hope they don't ask for it again.

One of my habit for this kind of thing was over-prepared.

But when I had interview with US Embassy Consular officer, I learned another thing.

Think from thier prospective.

They are dealing with paperwork all days.

If somebody dump meaningless document after document, they may be tired of the paperwork.

So after then, I keep over-prepared for paperwork, but I'm trying to submit necessary info only to them.

When they ask for something, I can give it to them from my bag or somewhere.

But don't make them feeling like trash can.

Here is what my U.S. Senator's office heard back on our issue: "This case has been in our 'Case Resolution Unit.' The applicant had marked conflicting information on the application that needed an officer's review before being receipted into our system. That review has now been completed and the application will be receipted and the check deposited. A receipt notice will be mailed soon. Regards, Susan, Congresional Liaision Specialist, NSC"

I'm looking all over our N-400 application and can't find any conflicting information. We have a lawyer and she obviously didn't see anything conflicting so maybe that's an excuse. In any case, it sounds like we might be processed normally now. No receipt or check cashed yet, but today is a holiday.

I got another e-mail from my Senator's office today:

"It took a little while for this application to get data entered. It was entered today. -Susan - Congressional Liaison Unit NSC"

I guess you could call 9 weeks "a little while" in the world of immigration. I'll believe it when I see it!

That's insane!!!! I got a call from my Senators officer today. We'll see what's holding up Kyng Silva's app while Statmans got an interview date.

Good Luck Feyser. Keep us informed.

Everybody and their monkeys are getting their NOAs and their interview letters and here we sit waiting , hoping, praying that the USCIS gives us something to chew on.

On another note. I got my card from Selective Service. Apparently they understood that they had not sent me any documentation and I was not aware of the SSS. So now onwards to getting Federal Student Aid.

So anybody out there who was not notified about the Selective Service. You need to fill out the Status information letter and send in supporting documentation along with a letter explaining what happened. It's a pain. Send me a msg if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Does anyone know what the difference is between Adjustment of Status biometrics and Naturalization biometrics? My wife had her AOS biometrics done last December. Seems a little redundant to do it again; not that we have a choice of course. Why do fingerprints twice?

Yeah Feyser!!!! CONGRATS!!! It's about time. They are the same there's no difference. As per USCIS the fingerprints that you did to adjust status were good for 6 months. They also do not keep the fingerprints on file so that's why you have to take it again.

Now if we can get Ilona to contact her Senators office we can get the last person moving.
