Everytime I read something, it is all in initials....I don't knw what they stand for. Can someone please explain? thanks

thanks so much you guys...this is a great site (as long as you don't get caught up in the "negativity") I am just starting this process and intend on bringing the K1 form to Nigeria in December without the date. I have yet to figure out the forms as it can be sent via internet. I don't want to make a mistake. Any advice would be helpful.

Main thing is to have him/her sign the 4 G325As and Letter of intent to marry. Those are the only documents that require original signature for the initial K1 petition submission. Have him/her do an extra set incase something gets lost.

I would suggest you download the forms to a laptop or somesort of pen drive (flashdrive) that has Adobe and fill the forms with as much info asyou can or have your SO fill them. I saved all of the forms and ask my SO the questions over the phone, that when I eventually scanned them to my SO to fillout I was correcting him; he spelled his mothers name wrong. If you want him to be able to no information about you for the interview, IMO you need to set the pace and the style it occurs. It is not neccessarily polite in Africa to intrude an dbe overly inquisitive about someones past experiences. So you have to ask questions about his life and volunteer your life story on a regular basis.

By the way till this day he will spell his mother's name wrong, her name is spelled Le???? not La?????. Some people don't always take that kind of stuff as seriously as Americans. Also for his mother and father if you are not sure of the day, but know the month and year put only what you know, even if you have to ask another family member. We only put the month and year for his parents not the day.
