You need to get married before your I-94 expires and then you need to apply for AOS and EAD and AP. You can not leave the US and return until you have an approved AP or your Greencard. If you do you will not be allowed to re-enter and will have to start all over again.

AP is good if you really need to go somewhere... otherwise GC sometimes takes 3-4 months (basing on my process) but it could be less or more than that to some... wish u luck!

I don't see all your timeline, but it looks like yours took 4 months from notice that they received your AOS and your GC. You were fortunate, most have to wait more like 6 months. AP is needed until you have your GC OP, and that will take about 3 months. That's about when people are receiving them now. Welcome to the USA. Were you thinking of travelling on a honeymoon? You'll have to wait until you get AP. Your husband should come on here and find out what he has to do as well to ensure that he knows the ins and outs of adjusting your status.
