Administrative process for CR1/IR1???

Hey there,

Is it possible for a CR1 or IR1 DCF applicant to have an administrative process started before receiving an interview date?

I mean, before being given an interview date, can a DCF case for CR1 be put into AP? I've been monitoring the embassy website and there are no updates to appointments, but a lot of updates to the AP list. Wondering if our case could be on that list. Our I-130 hasn't been approved yet as far as we know.

I thought AP only happened once you were approved at interview, as a final check? Not sure though.

That's what I thought too, but I wasn't sure.

I don't think so. You'll either get your packet back or get an interview date... If you don't hear

anything today, I would email them again and follow up.

I know when we first sent our application in each day passed by insanely slowly, but you never

know the amount of paperwork they have or what's going on in there. Just keep on them and

hopefully you will hear something soon! Don't panic though! Try to be patient. :-)

I sent an email to them on Thursday and got back that (what seemed to be) an automated message. Then, I emailed them Friday afternoon again. Here's hoping tomorrow we'll hear from them.

If I don't, should I email them again?

I wouldn't email them too often- the time they take to answer emails means they are not working on the cases in front of yours- or indeed, yours! I'd wait until a month has passed from them receiving it at least.
