OH my Fred!!! Be careful! I don't know if you guys have this belief but here in the Philippines we have this superstition about evil forces lurking around people in love and getting married. please please please be safe! And don't forget to pray!

I called USEM in Manila and I was able to set an interview date for March 27. Bad thing was, they had my mailing address from NVC wrong!!! I am so aggravated. I had it corrected and will call back in two weeks to make sure they have it amended.

HD - NICE! you scheduled your interview date already.

Now for the medical, remember to schedule at least 2 days for yourself. If you are having kids do the medical schedule 3 days. DO not forget your medical and vaccination records. Necessary vaccinations are already included in the fee.

BEST TIME TO GO - 1PM so you beat the morning rush. Always have a full lunch because there will be a lot of waitng. No appointments needed its all walk in.

OK you will probobly be done first with your medical and your daughter will take an extra day so plan for 3 days.

Your daughter will be given a TB skin test and will be ask to return in after a day for the results. DO NOT PANIC if the skin test turns red, this does not mean he or she has TB. St Lukes will then do an X-RAY then return the next day for results and vacination the release. Remember that upon release your passports will not be returned to you. St Lukes will forward your results and passports to the USEM. They will also give you your vaccination results (KEEP THIS for when you adjust status).

DS-156 NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION. Each applicant must submit two (2) completed copies of this form. Download form at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/forms/forms_1342.html. (If applicant is under 14 you will sign for them, **SIGNATURE** Followed by (Sigining for a minor child)

DS-157 SUPPLEMENTAL NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION. Each applicant must submit two (2) completed copies of this form. Download form at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/forms/forms_1342.html. (If applicant is under 14 you will sign for them, **SIGNATURE** Followed by (Sigining for a minor child)

DS-156K NONIMMIGRANT FIANCE(E) VISA APPLICATION. Each K1 applicant must submit one (1) completed copy of this form. This form is not required for K2 applicants. Download form at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/forms/forms_1342.html.

VISA FEES: (BDO PAYMENT)

PROOF OF PAYMENT. The application fee for a K1 or K2 nonimmigrant visa is US$131, payable only in Philippine pesos at the prevailing exchange rate. The fee should be paid by each applicant at designated branches of Banco de Oro (BDO) within Metro Manila and other key cities in the Philippines. For a complete list of branches currently accepting payment, visit BDO’s web site at http://www.bdo.com.ph/Promos/US_payment.htm. Citibank’s corporate center branch at Paseo de Roxas, Makati City will continue to accept payment. The bank will validate your payment on the DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form or on the DS-157 Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form. The payment is valid for one (1) year.

I'm getting ready to head to Nicaragua. 5 am tomorrow morning. I should be there by noon. Plenty of time to review all the paperwork and thoroughly freak-out before the interview on Friday!
