I still like fridays... I'm just as alone any other day of the week... but the bonus is I can pretty much waste away an entire weekend sleeping, goofing off, or whatever, doing something entertaining... and that means time flies on the weekends, in contrast to the weekdays where a big chunk of my day is spent at work, where most of the time I'm bored, and have entirely too much time to think about how long it'll be before I'm in the same country as my fiancee... it comes down to the 5 working days of the week... I spend a good chunk of my time bored and tortured, followed by the weekend, which is like an automatic -2 days off the count down to the NOA2... however, many people probably spend more time communicating with their fiance(e) on the weekends... my week nights are where I have the most communication and weekends not as much, I'm less chained to my instant messenger on the weekends (also on weekdays I tend to nap immediately after work so I can be up in the wee hours of the night talking to my fiancee... darn time zone differences).

Thank you!

my problem is that I don´t have a job or an apartment right now (I moved back to my parents) so what else could I take with me and what to say about the visa? or is it better to say nothing about it, only if they ask?

thanks for help!!

That is tricky... Do you own a car? The insurance and rego could help, perhaps a letter from your parents saying you "board/rent" from them to increase ties...

To be honest I don't think you have anything to worry about if it's your first trip to the states... it's not like me and my 8th.

I would take something just in case though, like letters from parents or utility bills or anything that you pay... and a return ticket. (I was asked for mine, even though it doesn't really count as "evidence")

Only mention the K1 if they ask, and they won't. They might ask you when you're getting married though.

I think being a first time visitor they probably won't look twice at you, unless it flashes up at them that you are in the process of K1 when they scan your visit, some letters that state your coming back, return ticket and maybe an offer of employment might be the best way to help you smoothly over the boarder.

Chris and I chat everyday, we have 9 hours time difference and this actually helps, when i go to bed he goes to work and then when i work he's sleeping :) isn't that great, so we can do everyday chat, voice, web camera or just exchange text messages,, i never thought the time difference will help, well he's also working 2nd shift only which is a big plus..

HD<<<< i hope things will be fine for you dear, just take it easy and try to enjoy life while you wait for the "professionals" ;) to do their work, everything will be alright...

soon i'm gonna be a first time visitor too, i'm also very nervous about it and so unsure if things will be fine

guys, have a wonderful day :)

hugs for all

Your really lucky Dani :) and I am very jealous lol!

I think that the biggest difference I found in the US is the food, they do odd things there like put sugar in bread! For those of us who have never had sugar in our bread you can taste it, and I thought it was foul! It took me a while the first time i was there, but i managed to find a bread that didnt have the sugars, :).

I know I will be a little home sick to start with (especially whilst waiting for my green card and being jobless) but I'm sure all us August filers will get each other through it, we are doing such a great job at it now on the 20 different timezones, imagine how much easier it will be with only 3 or 4 to contend with! LOL

And I agree with Dani, HD i'm sure it will be fine :)
