Horrible and yes, the guy must have been mentally unstable, very mentally unstable and should have been under locked care, not on a grey hound bus.

sounds like a good idea to me! but I would say that this is a freak wicked incident and that just like planes usually dont fall down from the sky this doesnt usually happen... but i guess its always good to be prepared!

We can't carry on with our lives in fear. Yes, there are dangerous people out there who could harm you, but beyond taking reasonable precautionary measures, there's not much more you can do...except maybe live in cave.

Agreed - there's no reason to suppose that suddenly people need to take all these extra precautions. There's no way on hell that you could predict something like this - but clearly in terms of reactionary attitudes there are similarities with terrorism in that if people get scared enough they will change their behaviors and become increasingly paranoid.
