EDIT: Let´s see, in VSC page they say: "Calling: You may obtain case status by calling 1 (800) 375-5283, and following the automated instructions. Please have your receipt number ready."

The NVC pages states that: "For inquiries about visa cases and the application process call: 202-663-1225. To email the Visa Office for general information, write us at usvisa@state.gov. "

Hmmm, can´t seem to find the exact page I found something more especific. But since I´ve been visiting ALL pages related to visas lately I may have confused USCIS with NVC. Sorry!

Well as you can see on the VSC page they list the NCSC number. It is only a call center and they have no information on your case other then what is online. Sometimes if a case is complicated they can put you through to an INS officer but Ive never heard of anyone doing that lol This is why it is known as the misinformation line. And the reason they will know nothing about IMBRA.

The NVC page can only give you info once your petition reaches there.

QDilly........take what they told you with a grain of salt. You could call again a get a totally different response.

I didn't think there was an e-mail address for the service centers.........................

Every Service Center has an email address and phone numb. But thewy wont give it to ppl otherwise imagine how many ppl would call them every day...??? I know cuz my husband's Represenative sent a few emails to MSC and to Cleveland local office. If MSC has an email address....why VSC shouldnt??? But nobody knows the MSCs email address....of course.........
