I have just received a call from Hillary's office and they said that will contact VSC to find out my case status but I told the rep that is not even about my case I'm concerned my major frustration is about the delay in comparison with CSC and she said we know is crazy but we will fight for this. so hopefully this will be good news for all of VSC filers! lets keep the hope :)

When did you receive NOA1? I am wondering if I should do this though I have heard others were told that their senators/reps couldn't do anything until 6 months after their NOA1 date had passed. How did you contact Hillary's office, by email?

i contacted her back in June 6. by faxing the form they have posted on her website and a copy of my NOA and a letter explaining my concerns which i clearly stated that my main concern is the slow process at vermont. my Noa date is March 5.

ok guys guys... heres one thing i would like to ask uscis: why are they approving k1 visas faster? does that mean its easier to have your gf come to the usa to be with you and harder for the wife? i mean come on, wheres the logic here? im in the same boat, im stuck here waiting, checking each day, in fact checking that damn uscis site every hour for any " touch" but nothing. im also a feb filer and still nothing up to now. whats worse, some petitions filed after feb have been approved, i mean, do these uscis people just pick up any paper they feel like working on and then work on it? at first i thought they threw my case in the garbage can but then when i saw vj, i knew that there are also others who are waiting . its making us crazy.

They process K-1s "faster" (because for some people it isn't as fast as you think) because they are completely different visas with a different set of evidences presented. K-1s are quicker upfront because there is less paperwork to process. Spousal visas (CR-1/IR-1s in particular) have more wait upfront, but you enter the US and can work right away (once you get your SSN) and will receive a green card automatically. K-1s are reunited quicker, but have a longer process overall to get to the same place as spousal visas are when they cross the border.

Is it really less paperwork?

I-129 vs I-130?

So there is like 4 pages diffence.... wow

But just to approve the application does it really make 5-6 months difference between the two? I dont think so

Let's stop being so literal, shall we?

CR-1/IR-1s are getting the spousal visa AND the AOS process processed up front, so when you hit the US you are good to go with a green card. It's a front-heavy process, hence me saying it's more paperwork and more time at the beginning.

do you have records of phone calls? like cell phone statements showing that u talk to her? have her also collect her cell phone bill/statement...also u can present emails as a proof of ongoing relationship....any letters, cards, gifts that u gave her while u guys were apart...bank accounts showing that u took money out of the joint account and she did as well...also showing that u both deposit money also....get the bank issue you an affidavit that would state that the account is frequently used and that it is in good standing with a regular activity....if you have already declared at work that you are married, show them a copy of your W4 or something or get a letter from your employer that states that your marital status shows married in their records....cant think of anymore but will certainly share if more comes to mind..

I send money thru western union. Could that be considered a proof of on going relationship. I went to india and asked the bank (ICICI) to open a joint account with my wife. They declined because I am a USC.

Any advice. Please.

Right. But don't we already know that the priority at VSC for the past 3 months or so were the naturalizations and H1B's? All that factors into the wait as well. Apparently CSC didn't have that problem, hence no hitch in their approval time. That is why places like VJ are invaluable in that we can share this information and understand what's happening (as much as we can). What I was trying to say in my original post was for sasha414 not to compare spousals to fiance visas, because they are completely different processes.

Right now VSC sucks. Trust me, I know, I recently spent 6 months there with another kind of petition in the process, enjoying the wait along with you as they worked on what was the priority at the time. But to sit and torture yourselves comparing things at CSC is well, unnecessary torture. In 6 months, we'll be hearing about how much CSC sucks and VSC will be rolling merrily along. Such is life at USCIS.

if u remember, while submitting I-130, the instructions said to provide additional documentation to prove that ur marriage is legit...it says that u can provide evidence that your financial assets r co-mingled...so the bank account can serve that purpose...other than that, interest rates are crappy, u wud rather b better off getting a fixed CD (which i am looking into). but the joint account gives u a little edge that u r husband and wife who share assets.

Everyday, "CASE RECEIVED AND PENDING" that's all i see with the ancient touch 2/24.

I'm sick, tired, and frustrated of theis USCIS/VSC. ALL SUCKS!!!!:angry:

When will they give us our NOA2s????

I hate the wait. I can't focus on anything else. It torturing. :crying:

I'm with you. We are just a few people crying in the dark. They won't hear us.

They are slowing this time, meaning that they will run later on to catch up the backlog.

Imagine, this petition process has been working for at least 50 years, if they had been slow at this rate, they would

be processing the applications of the year 1980 at this time.

Just prepare for the worst case to wait for another six months. Set your mind off for now. I don't think they will let us wait for more than a year.

I think you are the voice of reason.

I could be wrong, but I think they will speed ahead with the I-129s/130s after Aug 1 - look how they took so long with some of our NOA1s(those of us who submitted our apps when they started sending them to the lockbox) but then a whole bunch of us got NOA1s at once and now they are taking about the same time as before to send NOA1 for new applicants.

It is so painful sometimes to be apart but yes there are some who had to wait around a year - VSC did finally approve them. I am just trying to stay busy, call/email Govi every day and count the days until I can be with him again - for sure this time it will either be for interview or POE, depending on how quickly VSC/NVC works - at least I know I am dealing with a fast embassy so it's just waiting on super-slow VSC in my case.
