Hello,

I have been reading this site for a couple of months now and have gotten alot of very good information and tips from it. I am about to submit my I-130 and would just like some feedback on the items that I am going to send. I would feel much more confident about sending this in with some comments from people who have been there and done that. Any advice would be appreciated!! Just some background information, my husband is from Peru, we were married almost 3 months ago, and we are applying for the K-3 so we can be reunited quicker.

cover letter, explaining that we are applying for the K-3 with a full list of what we are including

I-130

My G-325a and one passport photo

His G-325a and one passport photo

Check for the fee

3 letters of affadivate from Peruvian citizens who were present at our marriage and other occasions

Many photos from different dates and places

telephone records

copies of our myspace profiles (we communicate a lot through there)

receipts from when I mailed packages

some emails

Some conversations from MSN

a copy of my passport and birth certificate

copies of plane ticket stubs from when I visited him

Copies of western union transfer receipts

a spousal affidavit that I wrote stating our marriage is valid

a copy of the marriage certificate

2009-04-08 : POE Atlanta (256 days from sending I-130)

USCIS *Removal of Conditions*

2011-02-28 : Mailed I-751

2011-03-02 : USPS Delivery Confirmation

2011-03-10 : Check Cashed

2011-03-11 : Touched

2011-03-25 : USCIS confirmed they did not mail NOA 1, given case number

2011-04-05 : Infopass appointment passport stamped with I-551

2011-04-19 : Walk in Biometrics completed (2 weeks early)

2011-05-03 : Biometrics appointment (3 year anniversary)

2011-08-25 : Approved

2011-08-31 : Card in hand (184 days after sending I-751)

2012-03-24 : Mailed N-400

2012-03-26 : NOA1

2012-03-29 : Check Cashed

2012-05-14 : Biometrics Appointment

2012-06-04 : Interview Letter

2012-07-09 : Interview in Raleigh, NC (Passed)

2012-07-20 : Oath Ceremony (119 days after sending N-400)

Looks good, just make sure you triple check the forms you filled out. I did not find a mistake on mine until the 4th time I checked them. Compare them to the example forms

7-16-08 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!

8-14-08 - Interview. APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!

8-19-08 - POE, Washington DC.

Not that much difference in time now with the CR and K3. CRs are MUCH, MUCH better visas. Cheaper in the long run also.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

Not that much difference in time now with the CR and K3. CRs are MUCH, MUCH better visas. Cheaper in the long run also.

very true...if your state is served by california service center you are better off just going the CR-1 route...easier, hassle free and cheaper by almost $1500...even for vermont service center, the max difference would be about 2 months...i know its hard to wait those two months but if u do results are more appealing and better..good luck with whatever decision u make...
