what is best proof of engagement if I have not bought my fiance the ring yet?

You do not need a proof of engagement (yes I know its called a fiance visa .. but no). Many of us never bought a ring or produced a ring or ring receipts for K1. All you need to prove is that you have met in the last 2 years - airline ticlkets, stamps in the passport, itinerary, photos together etc. are good proof. Good Luck

Letters of intent to marry along with other proof of meeting and only relationship.

3. Copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

Letters of intent are all that is needed many cultures do not use an engagement ring. I wasnt asked for proof of engagement or proof of ongoing relationship.

It depends on the culture and the embassy, but all you need is proof you have met once within the last 2 years and the letter of intent to marry
