same thing as on the website i asked about the touch on July 11 on both of my applications and the rep told me that there is no way for them to know what the update was about but probably is nothing just system update

VSC received my I-130 on 1/23/08

NOA 1 assigned on 2/13/08

Touched 2/24/08

Nothing since then and it sucks. But, I just pray to God that soon we all will start gettting approvals. But VSC is teaching all patients wither we like it or not. But, once you get done with VSC we have to deal with the NVC next. It is short but adds more time. Once they get done with you there you then can think about an interview. I don't think I will have my wife here until like Febuary and that sucks. My son's wife will have already had her baby and our anniversary will have already past.

My wife is from China too. Maybe they will have their interviews together.

yea, they dont usually tell you why the thing was touched or what was updated. But this number is good to have for later. Like if you get an RFE or if you application goes beyond the processing dates. So keep this number handy! Hopefully though none of our cases goes beyond their processing dates on the website.

thats nice to know. where did you get the info that vsc is working on feb filers now? i was trying to look for it on vj but couldnt find it. pls tell me... its so frustrating waiting for nothing. are uscis people on vacation?

Hang on tight guys...things are moving at VSC. I just read a post from Richard & Ayda. They just got their I-130 approved. They got their NOA1 in Jan 2008 (though they filled back in 09/28/2007) so it seems like VSC is working on last batch of September 2007 files right now. If you sent your file in December then ur turn is coming up very soon. Just hang few more days

its seems they are going by date you sent your I-130 to process ur visa (that's a good thing) rather your NOA1 date. (I am saying this from a recent case of richard&ayda)

I spoke with someone from VSC. She told me they are currently processing Sept'07 I 130 petitions. Its going to take approx 4 months for January I-130 applicants to get approval. However she mentioned if you filed K3 it will be quicker may be in a month or so.
