I'm going to be sick. Nick's flight here is now 2 hours delayed, there are no other flights going out...

I'm SO scared they will cancel it...please pray...I'm not religious but please say a prayer.

Because American Airlines sucks. We have never had a smooth flight with them...EVER.

Something has always gone wrong, been delayed or cancelled, lose luggaged, etc. It's just they are the cheapest and this is probably why.

They say weather, the plane is coming from Ohio and it's raining or something there and hasn't left, I don't know...

I'm completely and utterly heartbroken.

Aww...I'm so sorry you hear about this last minute hold-up! That totally SUCKS!

I will pray that they sort themselves out, and you can finally get together. By the time you get to where you are now, I am sure you just want it all to be over. I hope they don't hold up the rest of your move with that silly 'we can't fly in the rain' nonsense...

If it helps any, I remember going to pick Joe up at Detroit and hearing the same news - that by the time his plane was scheduled to land it still hadn't left Atlanta! His flight was 3 hours late but he made it. Weather patterns cool off in the evening so I'll keep my fingers crossed that whatever is affecting Ohio calms down and he can leave any time now.

Ok - just took a look - the weather pattern causing the delay is in Ontario but it looks like it should be over soon and there isn't anything serious coming in afterwards so it should be just a short delay. Here is a link for you: http://thunderstorm.vaisala.com/explorer.html

I'm sure your AA flight will be fine..it appears Nick and I are cursed when it comes to them.

They are so unreliable...I will never ever fly them again.

The other thing it could be - and looking at the airport impact map: http://www.weather.com/maps/activity/trave...tmap_large.html there doesn't appear to be anything too serious. I suspect the issue is that the plane is was supposed to be on was delayed on its arrival due to weather out west or elsewhere and so that just put the whole schedule behind. I am sure that he will arrive tonight without a problem - just later than expected. It is tough, though, when you're not in touch and you just don't know what is happening. Hang on, you'll be fine.

Here is the American Airlines website - you'll be able to track his flight and see when it takes off rather than just having to rely on the counter people - they are no help at all.

I'm picking up Nick tonight at the airport, packing all day tomorrow and then driving on down to Jersey on Saturday so I don't think I'll be on much..maybe tomorrow night for a few minutes.

This website and all the amazing people on it have been such a wonderful source of courage and support for me. I don't know where I would be without you...

Thanks for all the support. I'm here in Oakville waiting patiently at my brothers place. Nick's very very delayed flight just took off and he should be landing around 12:20am in Toronto.
