RFE possible before Biometrics Appointment?

Hello all!

My wife has been asking me this and I clearly do not know the answer, so I thought I should ask the forums.

We received our biometrics appointment for AOS and EAD two weeks ago.

Does this mean there will be no possibility of an RFE in the future for AOS or EAD. (just the waiting time)

My wife and I are curious because in the VJ timeline the RFE comes before the biometrics appointment.

Also, we were thinking that USCIS would have checked all the documents if all was good because why would they give the biometrics appointment if they needed more documents or supporting evidence.

Is what I am saying logical?

RFE is always possible up to the date they say APPROVED!!!

Biometrics is a only a small step in the process......

Possible at any time in the process. I got one after biometrics (hopefully last one). I also have to re-do my biometrics cause something went wrong with my original prints (taken 2 months ago), so everything is possible

Yes i have also recieved 2 RFE's after the BIometrics appointment, always possible. mine were for tax forms even know i sent them already, so had to go through IRS to get more and sent them back all was well then they said i didnt make enough to sponsor my wife (wrong!) but whatever, so i got a another sponsor and we are still waiting almost a year from when i sent in the packet, just have to be patient with our goverment.
