Just wondering if anything happened today in California???

Hey Tracymike,

I just recieved a letter today from CSC. They needed more evidence for my I-129F petition. I did recieve an e-mail on 7-2-2008 here is what it said:

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On July 2, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, call 1-800-375-5283 to update your address.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Case Status and Processing Dates.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

I just got that letter today in the mail that stated what they needed, keep in mind I am doing this without a lawyer, so when I orignally sent in the packet to CSC I only sent in the minimal that they told me I needed to send in. Here is the additional info they have requested from me:

Verification of Status: This office is unable to verify the petitioner's present status as a US citizen.

*Sent in my birth certificate and passport copies

Circumstance of Meeting: Submit info regarding the circumstances under which the petitioner and beneficiary met to establish the relationship.

*Wrote letter explaining circumstances under which we met

Last Meeting: Submit evidence of meeting the beneficiary in person within the two-year period immediatly perceeding the filing of the petition.

*Sent copies of all my plance tickets/itenerary info, photos of Tony and I in Mexico, doctors letter stating my pregnancy and a picture of me pregnant, etc.

If you look at my timeline I recieved my NAO1 on 2-12-2008. Today was the first time, besides the e-mail I got that I have heard anything from the CSC. So hang in there, I know it is such a LONG process. But from what I can see is you sent your petition shortly after mine, so HOPEFULLY you will hear something REAL soon!! If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me :) I will keep my page updated to let everybody know when I hear back from them if we get approved or not.....I mailed the information today by express over-night, so I hope to hear something soon!! As you can tell I am a LITTLE eager to get this process moving. My fiancee and I are expecting out first child together due September 24, 2008. I would REALLY like him here for her birth! I don't think it will happen, but you never know... I pray every day!! Take care, best wishes!

Congratulations Lyndsey!!!! On your child and hearing from the CSC. I know no one wants to receive an RFE, but at least you know you will hear an approval soon. The heavens must be constantly besieged with all our prayers from VJ alone lol! I also pray with you that you two can be together for the birth of your first child. I know I haven't been with my husband since the day before last Thanksgiving 2007! Take care and all the best to you and Tony. Yes, please update us on your journey, and the birth of your precious baby too.

Tracy
