I think most of the people who has been waiting have the same question. From what I see, it's purely luck as their is not a consistent process USCIS follows. Lately, if you have the fortune to file at CSC, you have a better likelihood of getting faster approval. Good luck with yours!!

To me, it took 190 days (6 months and 10 days)...

And actually, I am shooting for 90 days!!!!!

I got extremely lucky with receiving the NOA2 so fast!!! But I did things to speed things up.

I sent the I-130 and I-129F together to CSC, so I did not have to wait for the NOA1 to send in the I-129F. Also, the K3's are being approved faster that stand alone I-130's.

And now, I am following both paths to speed things up. In Buenos Aires, for the K3, they e-mail you the packet 3 and you have to give copies of all documents to the embassy before they schedule the interview. So we returned the packet 3 with all of the copies to the embassy last week. Buenos Aires embassy is very fast. After you return the packet 3, you usually get the interview within 3 weeks. So I am expecting to have the K3 interview around the end of July.

But since I just sent the DS-230, I am praying that within the next two weeks, my case will be complete. Before the k3 interview. Then we will be able to change the K3 interview to a CR1 interview. Hopefully around the end of July. This is why I am following both paths. And the interview will be sooner that waiting for them to schedule the CR1 interview.

Now I just need to get the case complete from NVC.

And actually, I am behind about a week with the NVC because I was waithing for my wife to get me her police certificates from Lima, Peru. Because we planned on having everything prepared early, but we never imagined we would receive the NOA2 so fast.

NOA1 only says that they received your paperwork, nothing more. You will not know if everything is good until you receive the NOA2.

What he means is, all of the paperwork is filled out correctly and everything that you sent in is correct.

WOW !!! this mean if my papers have enything worng i will corrcet this and send again and wait all this timeeeeeee again :o:o:o

All of us are waiting, I understand its hard, but some of us like myself are waiting much longer than what you have waited, I haven't seen my husband since August 9th, we were married on July 19th after waiting for all of the paperwork to be completed to allow us to marry while I was there in Morocco,

while I was in Morocco I was away from my three kids, which was so difficult but it was the only way to get married, i wasn't able to afford taking all of us to Morocco,

So anyway a lot of us go through many things to be with the one we love, I see on here where people congratulate others and tell them how they have had such a hard journey where in fact they are able to be with there spouse at any given time, where as some of us don't have that luxury

Maybe I am just venting but really you just got married, I am about to spend our first wedding anniversary WITHOUT my husband, but I will wait,

I have tried to expedite, but I have been told many things by the people in VSC who seem to think that I should move out of Orlando, which is where I live and work for the past ten years, because Orlando is expensive, they told me that I have struggled raising my three kids alone for the past 17 years so I can continue to do what I have been doing and all they can say is for me to wait for my husband to get here, they will not expedite my case

So you know maybe think about others on here that have been waiting much longer than you, and way much longer than others who are already approved and have also gotten an expedite by luck,

Its a long process and it svcks,

this is my second time around on this damn journey I filed two years ago, my case was approved it was an I 129F and my husband had his interview all was good, the only thing is he had his translated birth certificate, he was given a paper stating he needed to return to the consulate within a year to give the original birth certificate, he returned the next day , and you know what our case was delivered back to the US and it was sent to California where it expired,

I am a natural born American Citizen and I can't get my husband here, My parents were born in this country, my father fought in WWII for this country and I can't have my husband here,

Don't tell me about you have waited long, because buddy you just started waiting,

I am so aggravated its unreal,

USCIS Svcks

VSC Svcks MORE

Sorry for venting but you have to understand its disturbing to hear someone who just started this process have nerve to complain, You know I don't post much on this site I just read and congratulate here and there, but you know what, we are all going through this so stop whining

hate me if you will

but i am honest and probably saying what others are thinking

I am here if you want to talk and if you are frustrated as well , but its sad to see how you think you have waited so long

i will regret posting this because this maybe sounds terrible, but Its annoying already
