Hey Aubrey,

I'm a little confused now... I was sure that you the girl Aubrey was the german citizen and your man Andy the US citizen...

But if he is waiting his police certificate it means that he is the german citizen huh ?

 Yes, I'm the US citizen and he's German. Cham lives ~45 minutes south of me here in Idaho. Andy's the smarty pants that is bilingual, not me unfortunately. I know more Spanish than I do German. :P Actually I told him he needs to start reading in the regional boards here because I can't read any of the German stuff they post there! You should hear me try to pronounce stuff like 'Einwohnermeldeamt' ...

It is very clear for me now :)

I have a question regarding packet 3. How do you know when it has been sent out to your SO? Do you call the NVC to check or do you have to contact the Embassy?

Thanks in advance.

Packet 3 will come from the embassy. Once NVC has sent your case, they no longer will have anything to tell you.

I didn't know until my SO rec'd it. I dont think NVC would know if it had been sent out. My best guess would be to call the Embassy. We were gonna fax the Embassy but they sent it to my fiance before we got a chance to pester them ;)

Okay thanks...I was just trying to see if I could do like Shannon and Nick did...send back packet 3 right after they send it out. Seems like in Jamaica it can take awhile to get.

Yes we would say : vous pouvez venir "accompagnés", you can come with compagny (spelling ?)

Only problem we found with that is that DOS is usually 24 hours behind the embassy, I called them on the extortion line and have emailed them a few times, they have always got back to me within 48 hours.

in fact I got a lovely email this afternoon saying

"Your forms have now been received and your interview will be scheduled very shortly. You will receive confirmation of the date and time of the interview in the mail."
