Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that my wife was approved for AOS today 7/3/08 at 630 Sansome St., San Francisco. We filed for K-1 back in April, 2007. The USCIS officer was nice. Here are the questions he asked to my wife:

1) Wife's full name, address, phone number, each of our date of birth, where we lived and with who, and when she entered the US. He asked her if she has been outside of US. He also wanted to know when our engagement was, where it was, and how many people were there and at our wedding reception.

2) He checked our tax papers for our joint filing for year 2007, our joint checking account proof, work letter.

3) He checked some common bills we have. Like cell phone bill and credit cards.

4) He then asked me how we met, when we got engaged, where we went for dates.

5) He checked some pictures of us together.

He took many notes, and then said he approved us, the whole process took like 10 minutes. He mentioned the green card will come in 2 weeks, and will be valid for 2 years. A little before that we need to remove conditional green card 90 days before it expires.

Thanks.

Today we did not submit a new Affidavit of Support. All I took was our joint tax filing for year 2007, a joint checking account letter from our bank, a letter from my employer, and bills showing both of our names.

My wife's passport still shows her maiden name, however the green card will have my last name.
