Anyone else go for drinks with coworkers on Friday's?

Anyone else give their SO's drunken phone calls at 2am from half a world away?

Me - occasionally go out for cheap beer on Friday after work. Always intend to head home after just one.

4-5pm $1 pints of beer. Post 5pm, switch to gin and tonic.

Between 1am-2am call the hubby. try to make sense, and generally just yell into the phone for 30 minutes

Wake up 10:30am, just in time to make last call for McDonald's bacon 'n egg mcmuffin.

 Cat!!

Well work's over for several weeks (at least the "real" job) but I just discovered that our local Irish pub has Monday night trivia. So we've organized a group for a weekly meet.

But I always call the man in the middle of the night....except it's his mornings so it doesn't count.

mucha cerveza! my friends here in Clt are not liquor drinkers, so beer..

I like classic cocktails, martinis, gin tonics, or if I can get flor de caña rum, rum and coke.. but if not, a good Modelo, Tecate, or Guinness will do

and if available, I'll hit the Apfelwein.. although last time I go sh!tfaced with it, reall baad.. LOL

Apfelweinlokal Adolf Wagner FTW!!!

(btw, never ever ever, drink more than 3lts of that stuff)

Oh no! Beer before liquor, never been sicker!

Never heard that one before. perhaps that accounts for many of my 2am pukefests.

Pedroh - I think I've discovered part of the problem with you're apple wine (taken from Wiki):

Apfelwein, since it is usually (a bit) cloudy, is often served in the "Geripptes" (a glass with a lozenge cut that refracts the light). At any rate, the size of the Geripptes glass is usually 0.25 litre.

If my math is correct (which it probably isn't), with drinking 3L that means you've had 12 glasses of the stuff. Thats a lot of apples my friend. . . . . and a whole lota drunk Pedroh.

I think you can be my drinking buddy too.
