With oil/gas prices continuing to climb, should pressure be put on states like Florida and California by boycotting their tourism industry until they allow offshore drilling?

I would be more inclined to boycott states that DO allow offshore drilling. The problem isn't going to be solved by depleting more oil and gas supplies while we continue unabated our waste of existing resources. The problem will be resolved by finding and supporting alternative energy sources along with conservation of existing non-renewable resources. We seem so focused on instant gratification with immediate gain and long term pain, rather than behaving responsibly with short term pain and long term gain.
