Hi Everyone,

It has been a while. Hope each and everyone is doing well. In addition to work, my husband and I are also busy with the fact that his 10 year old niece is now staying with us for the summer. We are not parents, so this is indeed a good yet challenging experience; especially when you have to coordinate pick ups, and drop offs to summer camp when your out of town on business. Please whisper a prayer for us (especially for me). She's a wonderful child, but working and taking care of a child is indeed a balancing act. So ... hats off to all of your parents. Anyway, this is not why I am here.

I just got back to my hotel room, and decided to check my voice mail from my personal cell phone. One of the messages was from a friend I've made here on VJ. They asked if I had seen their email. I logged into my email and noticed that I had emails from VJ telling me that I received PM's (4 as a matter of fact). Well - each and every PM was in reference to a recent topic posted in this forum. I have a dinner meeting to attend in less than an hour, so I don't have time to read each and every comment. However, from what I have seen I want to share this:

A few months ago I openly expressed my thoughts regarding a particular topic. As things progressed, the topic got a little bit heated, and so did I. In the midst of the back and forth, I read (in a different topic) a statement made by another VJ member. For the sake of keeping the peace, and not resurfacing old matters I will not reveal the author of this comment. Nevertheless, I must say that this person's comment really helped provide me with a gentle dosage of how to handle certain things. In some ways, it kind of reinforced comments heard from my parents when growing up. So that I won't stir up a hornets nest, I will also slightly modify the comment (to protect the privacy of the author). However, this person will know who they are. :)

For each and every member of this forum - we all have thoughts and opinions that we are passionate about. This is a good thing! Nevertheless, when dealing with your thoughts be sure that the way you handle yourself does not take away from the angel God has created within you. I have been a member of VJ since 2005. And to read some of the comments made (both good and bad) it really makes me wonder ...... wonder about what? Well - I won't get into that. But I will share this with you: " .... when something is changing who you are or how you behave for the negative, eliminate it from your life; always conduct yourself so that it is pleasing to God." Again - please remember that I have intentionally modified the comment (a little). Nevertheless, I felt the need to share this with my VJ family. Anyway - I am about to go so that I can get ready for my dinner meeting, and kiss my husband over the phone. :star:

Wishing everyone the best!

Boaz

*giggle* Still think you want children? They are hard to juggle, but a wonderful addition to a family. I'm glad you got the practice.

Thank you for posting this postive thread. I can admit that I'm guilty of being negative at times and that quote really struck me. It's a powerful quote and it holds a lot of truth in it. :)

Thank you for this thread and your realness. In the heat of the moment many things can be said but we have to remember that our Grand Creator does not judge us and forgives us at the drop of a hat and the things we do to him are countless. We should rely on him to direct our steps in all matters and that includes discussing differing opinions. Always keeping his loving kindness at the forefront of our minds, hearts, and lives. Thanx again for this reminder.
