If you don't mind, could u pls take your little time to look at my cover letter, to make sure that I do not miss any single document to enclose!

I shall be very happy for any feed back and I thank you guys in advance! Wish us luck!

Ps. does the advance parole application need a separate explanation dated and signed in a piece of paper?

You want the legal marriage certificate. In some states the license and certificate are on the same page. In some they are not. It's the marriage certificate you get back with the County Clerk's stamp that you photocopy. If you don't have it yet, wait until you have it to file.

Pedantry is pretty useful in this process. What is asked for and what you are providing is a marriage certificate. That it is also a marriage license is irrelevant. You get the marriage license before the marriage. The license proves nothing until an officiant signs it saying they married you. Then, for immigration purposes, it becomes a marriage certificate. Immigration has no purpose for a marriage license.

Pedantry is pretty useful in this process. What is asked for and what you are providing is a marriage certificate. That it is also a marriage license is irrelevant. You get the marriage license before the marriage. The license proves nothing until an officiant signs it saying they married you. Then, for immigration purposes, it becomes a marriage certificate. Immigration has no purpose for a marriage license.
