hello there guyz im just wondering about the AOS and IV processing fee bill

the choice of agent was received today. according to the letter they said they going to send the bill to the petitioner. so it means my ds230 is already genereated?

do i have to make a payment online the aos first before i can check the box for the ds230 bec im planning to make a payment the same time... or i have to pay the AOS first before i can pay the ds230 please help me and thank you for ur advise

Medical Sept 9,10 He passed Thank you God. God is always good.

Interview Date: Sept 29, 2008 at USEM Manila 8:30AM APPROVED!!!

Visa In hand: Oct 2, 2008 yahoo

POE Nov 17, 2008.

Green Card and S.S received Nov 28th, 2008

u ahve to pay AOS fee first then a week letter u wil be able to pay ds230 FEE!!

u cant pay at same time

10-16-07- received by VSC

1-11-08- i130 NOA1

2-24-08-view case online

4-19-08- i130 NOA2

4-24-08- NOA2 hardcopy received

4-24-08- NVC CASE #ASSIGNED MDR

5-04-08- EMAILED CHOICE OF AGENT TO NVC

5-05-08- DS3032 AND AOS fee bill was generated today

5-05-08- paid AOS fee bill $70 online

5-07-08- AOS FEE now says PAID online, can print cover sht.

5-07-08*cald NVC and msg says AOS $recvd

5-12-08-DS3032 EMAIL Accepted

5-13-08*cald NVC and msg now says DS3032 choice of agent has been received.

5-13-08-mailed AOS i864 packet w/printed cover sheet from online payment (certified mail- priority)

5-15-08-AOS packet received by NVC

5-18-08 iv FEE bill invoiced

5-18-08 iv fee $400 paid online

5-20-08-iv fee cleared, able to print covr shet online

5-21-08-mailed DS230 packet to NVC via priority mail

5-29-08 aos ACCEPTED

5-29-08- DS 230 entered in system

6-3-08-cse cmplte.

6-11-08 case left NVC to chennai via DHL

6-16-08 case reached chennai

7-2-08 appt letter received by beneficiary

7-4-08 medical done in chennai

7-28-08 interview- AP for 4-6 weeks (awaiting name chk clearance-told by chenai operator)

8-20-08 chennai forwarded file to DOS- according to inquiry from congressmans office

(also confirmed by DOS)

8-28-08 file reached DOS- told by operator

9-2-08- last update to case,told by DOS

12-12-08 emailed chennai embassy asking status of our case, and got email to send passport..

12-15-08 submitted passport to vfs

12-19-08 VISA ISSUED! in hand!

12-25-08 hubbys arrival! smooth POE!

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail

so u mean i have to pay the $70 fee first before they generate the ds230? im wiaitng for the ds230 to be generated so i can pay the same time... ahiiihh thats why i didnt pay the $70 fee yet... i received an email that they recieved the choice of agent that my husband emailed to them.... how long does it usually take before they generate the ds230 once they received the AOS? thanks

do i have to pay the $70 fee and then send the form to nvc together? or do i have to wait alteast 1 week for the ds230 so i can send them together? i think the processing time will be same bec eventhough they get the AOS first they will still wait for the ds230 before the case complte. doesnt make any difference.I guess thank you

AOS and DS230 are independent procedures. 1. You pay AOS fee and once accepted, you can print out the cover page with bar code and mail it with your AOS form with supporting docs. NVC will receive and process AOS. Independently, you send Choice of Agent and once accepted, you can pay IV fee online. Once IV fee is accepted, you print DS 230 cover letter with bar code and send it with the DS 230 form and supporting docs. NVC will receive DS230 and if everything is Kosher will send all the docs to embassy.

I agree with you cash but i paid my aos fee bill and it was accepted but i can not print out cover page with barcode yet i do not know why,...????

Maybe i will be able to print it out when i pay my IV fee bill so i print it out together or,...i dont know ,..I know that I can not print it now,....

You are probably not able to print it yet, because the fee hasn't been cashed yet, once it is (you can find out by calling them) you'll be able to print the barcode and send it with supporting documents.

Shaman, you must pay AOS fee first, otherwise you won't be able to pay the IV fee bill. You have to fully complete each step by paying the fee, sending the barcode with supporting docs and go ahead for the next step which starts by paying the next fee bill.

Of course, you should first email them the DS3032 with the choice of agent.

I think same thing as you EdgarVirginia about printing barcode page,...But I am still wondering,... Am I going to be able to print the barcode online(and send it with supporting documents) even if I pay my AOS fee bill through regular mail(money order)??,....

In that case you'll have to create your barcode using Jame's shortcut, that what I did, since back at that time the online payment system was not available yet. So, just follow the instructions for barcode generation and good luck!
