Hi!, one of my friends recommended me this site.

I am from Mexico and my husband from Washington.

I have my visitor visa and we got married August 19th, 2007.

We hadn't filed my papers for several reasons. We are getting ready to file(finally) all the papers I need in order to get the Green Card.

the G-325A form asks you to list "Applicant's residence last five years. List present address first."

I have been living in USA since then, legally, with my Visitor visa, and because we are living in McAllen, I do not need an I-94.

Since we got married I have not stayed more than 6 months in USA. I have been going back and forth, visiting my family.

I am not sure if I will have any kind of issues because I have not filed my paper right away and I been living here as a visitor.

Should I use the address in Mexico or the address in USA?

Help!

Thanks :)

Hello Marispy

.

I would do exactley what it states. If you live in McAllen currentley (no matter of time), then I would put that address as present, and Mexico as the past address. List all addresses that you have lived in, and time span.

Example....

1234 10th street

McAllen Texas 12345

01/01/07 to present

1234 Calle rio

tamalipas, mx 12345

05/01/1995 to 01/01/07

and any other addresses lived in mexico..

hope this helps.

If you've been going back and forth across the border since you married, I doubt you'll be successful adjusting status. You'll probably need a spouse visa, K3 or CR1.

If you stayed in the USA after marriage, it's a different story.
