Thanks for the help!

What a pain though. As if my family's not going through enough, I have to ask my Uncle to ask my Grandma's doctor to write a note and fax/mail it to me. That's just bananas.

Has anyone done this successfully and quickly over the phone? And just how many visits does an AP document allow? After using it to visit my grandma, I would like to use it to visit home often too.

Perhaps a letter from her doctor or hospital? A letter from a close relative?

I did succeed to get expedited AP by calling USCIS, and now I'm in my country. I posted the details which would help you... How to get expedited AP

Seems you can wait for a few weeks, I recommend you to call USCIS, not InfoPass. If the officer is nice, you don't need the evidence for the first time calling. If they think they need the evidence, they'll ask you to go to local office to show it. But you can save some time with this method.

Regarding the evidence, I called the doctor to ask him to write his name, the name of my father's disease, hospital name. And I also prepared scanned docs from doctor... in Japanese  . I didn't have time to receive the original.

AP allows multiple entries if you applied so.

If you still have specific questions, send PM to me. Good Luck!

Good info as always, K&W ! Thank you for leading the way, so to speak.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
