I'm looking on JUly stats again and just thinking to myself that maybe there's only one adjudicator holding our case, particularly on those k-1 filers whom being "hop" by and not being transferred. hehe just a thought dont mind me :P

I've applied for about 5 gov't jobs & wrote one exam yesterday and another coming up on Sept 9th...I don't have my EAD yet and they know that. Gov't jobs take quite some time to fill as they usually have the exam, then the interview...I know in Canada, the process (Federally) can take up to six months. I let them know on my profile that I am awaiting the EAD (4 to 6 weeks or so) and that doesn't seem to matter obviously. I figure I can possibly get a jump on a job if I start now...if they like someone enough who has the qualifications and the personality they're looking for (or who will fit in in a particular department), they will wait! I've worked at enough term positions with government to know that.

That is quite a genius idea, I cant believe I didnt think of it. Most government jobs do not ask for anything until you are being interviewed, which could very well be about a year after the exam.

7/30/12 - Priority date

3/15/13 - NOA2!!!!!!!

3/25/13 - NVC received my case

4/08/13 - Emailed ds3032 template

4/09/13 - NVC case number and IIN number generated

4/11/13 - aos fee bill invoiced/paid/and pkg sent

4/12/13 - aos fee paid again after being rejected/ds3032 resent and accepted

4/15/13 - aos pkg delivered/iv bill invoiced and paid

4/16/13 - iv pkg sent express mail/ aos status changed to paid

4/17/13 - iv pkg delivered/ iv status changed to paid.

4/29/13 - Case Complete!

5/10/13 - Interview notice emailed.

6/05/13 - INTERVIEW

He was a computerized lumber machine operator (not many of those in Orlando...), but he's been looking everywhere, retail stores, theme parks, even grocery stores...but nothing. One thing that has been a problem has been the online applications. There is no place in the applications for non-US addresses and phone numbers. Frustrating....

Trust me... we know the feeling.. Marco is getting 0 response. It's actually starting to get discouraging.

What did Darren do as his old job?

I am slowly started to job hunt as well but it is clear on my resume that i will become available in october.

Darren received his temporary EAD at JFK and has been looking for employment for the last three weeks. NADA...not even entry-level jobs. No one has even called him back...

We can live on my salary, but not being able to find a job is getting him down...

Maybe what they meant was non us address and non us phone number for previous employer? For choices when filling out applications..i guess :unsure:

And of course i checked mine and the one i filled is dated from the 30 jul 07 (valid till 31st of august)

I wonder if they gonna accept it.

If you haven't received a rejection notice by now you should be fine. I got mine together with the NOA's.

In short you should be good to go.

AOS Timeline:

7/928 2008 - Mailed packet (I-130, I-485 & I-765)

7/31 2008 - Packet arrives at the Chicago lockbox

8/07 2008 - Checks cashed

8/08 2008 - NOA Received (I-130 & I-485)

8/08 2008 - Application Rejection Letter received for I-765 (Outdated form that expires 08/31/08!!!)

8/11 2008 - Biometrics Notification for August 28th

8/14 2008 - New I-765 received by V. Bustamente

8/18 2008 - Tried a walk-in Biometrics but office closed(!!)

8/19 2008 - CRIS email. RFE #1

8/23 2008 - RFE Letter. Birth Certificate (wth?!?)

9/09 2008 - NOA for I-765 received

9/12 2008 - EAD Biometrics notice for 9/29

9/16 2008 - CRIS email. RFE received on 9/11 and case resumed.

9/26 2008 - EAD Biometrics completed and touched online.

11/07 2008 - EAD Card production ordered.

11/08 2008 - Interview Notice for December 09th.

11/20 2008 - EAD arrived in mailbox and work resumed.

12/09 2008 - Interview. AOS approved and card production ordered.

12/10 2008 - AOS Touched.

12/12 2008 - AOS Touched again.

12/15 2008 - AOS Touched a third time (which usually means the card is in the mail! Hurray!)

hu hu hu....

stilll cant view the case online....

i know it's not totally uncommon..... but when you're stuck in the house like me... cleaned every nook and corner of the house; re-arranged the furniture so many times; gone to the mall for what seemed like a millionth times - so much so that for the first time in my life, i've lost my passion for shopping; burned so many dishes, i've finally accepted i'm not meant to be a cook, much less a chef; watched re-runs of house md over and over again.... and can't wait to join the work force again.... the smallest indication that your case is actually moving is like manna from heaven (wait, does manna come from someplace else other than heaven, or am i being redundant?)

bottomline is, i do love my husband to death... but i guess i'm just not domesticated... and i cant wait to get my ead and WORK....

i guess i'm just whining....

Hello fellow July filers! Just a quick note to let you know that I just did my Biometrics. It went all smoothly. :thumbs: However, I checked the case online and it's still not sowing up. I'm getting antsy since I got my MSC numbers almost a month ago and there's nothing showing up. :crying: I want to see some progress!
