I am not there yet and I dont' have a NOA2 but i want to be prepared. Can someone tell me how far back they need a bank statement for? Also, why do they need to see your bank statment? Will they take into account your savings even if you make enough money or do they deny your spouse a visa because you dont have enough saved? I have savings but i don't have a whole lot but i make over what is required for about poverty level and i even have life insurance with my spouse and my daughter as beneficiaries. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :whistle:

I do not have the link handy, but Bank statements are not required. If you make enough money over the poverty level. The bank statements would only be required if you were trying to show your assets to assist in your approval. The instruction sheet os old and has not been updated. I will try to find the link that states this.

Where do they request bank statements?

Sent I-130 to VT 25-Oct-2007

My petition has been in 3 states (1, twice) in 9 months!

They request bank statements if you do not have enough of a salary to meet the poverty level, its pretty much only comes into play when you need to show you have enough money in assests, bank accounts, etc to make up the difference.
